Green Sunday (5/11): Our statewide candidates “live”, and our Voter Guide

Green Sunday, May 11th, 5:00 – 6:30 pm

For the upcoming June election, we will have five statewide Green Party candidates on the ballot — hear them speak about their campaigns tonight! We will also have time for an overview of our Voter Guide, and a quick discussion of some of the races and measures we’ll be voting on. And of course copies of our Voter Guide will be available for distribution!

One or two of our statewide candidates will be there in person (the rest will participate via “Skype”): Controller candidate Laura Wells ( http://www.laurawells.org ) has been confirmed and there is a strong chance that Lt. Governor candidate Jena Goodman ( http://jenagoodman.com/ ) will make the journey from Davis to Oakland to also participate in person. (She will know for sure within a few days).

We will use “Skype” audio/video technology to connect with our Governor candidate, Luis Rodriguez ( http://rodriguezforgovernor.org ); with Ellen Brown ( http://ellenbrown4treasurer.nationbuilder.com/ ), who is running for state Treasurer; and with our Secretary of State candidate, David Curtis ( http://www.votedavidcurtis.org ).

An electronic copy of our Voter Guide is available here: https://acgreens.wordpress.com/voter-guides/ Please help us distribute the newsprint version to local cafes, bookstores, laundromats, libraries, etc.– wherever other free papers are given away! (Or, you can pass them out in front of grocery stores, at farmer’s markets, or at BART stations, etc.!).
