Here is the current version of the press advisory, which describes Monday’s event:

On Monday, October 10, 2011 at 4pm the people of Oakland will occupy Frank Ogawa Plaza. This action will unite Oakland with OccupyWallStreet and people around the country and around the world to continue the discussion that began on Wall Street on September 17. All across the country groups of people are spontaneously rising up and establishing Occupy encampments in support of each other and the call for fundamental change in our nation. This occupation will add Oakland, CA to the growing list.

For more info about the Occupy encampments, see: “Five Things That #OccupyWallStreet Has Done Right” http://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2011/10/07/18692564.php
