LUNCHTIME SPEAKERS
On Saturday, Cres Vellucci, GPCA Press Secretary, has arranged a press conference for 3 Green Party candidates (Mark Sanchez, SF Bd of Supes, and 2 others), from 12 noon to 12:30 pm. The event will be held in room 215, just upstairs from the main Plenary room (signs will be posted). This is primarily a press event.
On Sunday, Green Berkeley Rent Board member Lisa Stephens will speak about Props 98 and 99, the “eminent domain” propositions, which will be on the June Primary ballot. Lisa co-wrote the GPCA position on these propositions, which may abolish rent control throughout the state. She will probably speak in the main 145 room during lunch, so delegates can attend easily.
